ASUS Release their MG248Q 1080p 144Hz FreeSync Monitor

Faceplam another 24 inch monitor WTF ASUS.

Need bigger sizes 24 inch is just way to small.

If it was 27" or more then you'd probably say the resolution is too low :P

For triple or dual setups 24 is still pretty common. 27 is becoming more affordable but you lose pixel density at that size. (and need a massive desk)

It's all a trade off between panel technology, refresh rate, price, resolution, freesync/gsync....

It's pretty smart from a business sense to be covering the most common gaming display resolution (Steam hardware survey) and I'd dare say 24" still outsell the 27s although I have no proof at all to back that up..

If it was 27 inch or higher yes the resolution needs to be higher

In my opinion 1080p at 27 inch looks terrible. Even when I compare my 15in laptop to my 24in desktop monitor, the laptop looks so much better. I think that you really need to go 1440p above 24in.

Even the Acer Z35 has a terrible resolution compare to the Acer X34 and the new ASUS ROG Swift.

but in that form factor we have monitors already?

Actually there's only two 1080p 24" 144hz Freesync monitors, one from AOC and one from Nixeus. So someone putting together an ASUS based rig with triple high Hz Freesync screens can now do so.

3 reasons why I like this monitor:
1. 24"
2. C13 power
3. HDMI 2.0

I work in live streaming, and we travel often. 24" means I can take a smaller case with our scope box, or I can fit an extra monitor on our client station so they don't have to stand over my station while I'm switching, in an already tight production trailer... When you're playing the consumer, remember that it's a good thin there are choices. You may not agree with them, but to someone, they could mean everything.

That's fine that is your opinion.

For gaming these days need bigger monitors, Also IMO HDMI is over rated for Computer Monitors i don't like using HDMI cables for a computer monitor, Display Port is way better than HDMI.

So the actual cable is at fault, or what are you getting at?

What i'm saying is the way i look at it is HDMI = TV's & DP = Computers, for me DP is better cause it has the plug that locks in also DP is royalty free where HDMI is not.

If HDMI is so much better than why GPU makers put more DP than HDMI maybe i have answer my question ;)

Maybe i'm strange but i don't care
