Hey guys,

Was browsing the net and came across a CES 2011 topic on Asus and what products the unveiled at the show

I came across the Asus Rampage III Black Edition x58 motherboard with a Killer E2100 networking on a combined LAN and audio card called ThunderBolt.

I think its a great looking board.

What do you guys think?

I really prefer the looks of the original Rampage III over this, mainly because I find the heatsink of the black edition quite strange. Featurewise this of course has improved. Be interested to see some other pics of it.

hmm your right about the heatsink. I wonder what the watercooling blocks will look like

I didn't like the new heatsink design on the Maximus IV but on this new Rampage board it does look rather good. I'm interested to see if this one will support quad SLI fresh from the box instead of requiring the the Xpander board. Looks like a good update to a fantastic board, the only thing that concerns me will be price.

True, it would be nice to have Quad SLI without a expander. Hopefully the price stays close to the Rampage III extreme price when it was released
