well its not really a problem

the board is great, its nice and stable, no problems with it at all

but i cannot find the bios options for overclocking

i've been through every page in the bios, but i simply cannot find it

is there a set of keys you press to unlock it or somthing?

if anyone could, if they have the board, type somthing out so i can understand it?

like advanced tab>cpu config> whatever...

cos i simply cant find it, its eluded me....

it came with some settings in it, that made it stable at 3.3GHz, but i know the chip can do 3.6, and the ram can do the apropriate speed to make it worthwile, but i cant find the options, any ideas people? :(

i tried googling it,....came up with reviews, and discussions, but no mention of hidden bios options:(

in the first link

the first screenshot on that post

i cannot find that screen

i know it exists

but i cannot find it...

i've been through every option

where is it?

try flashing to a different bios version, just cause its the same hardware doesn't mean you have the standard firmware atm.

I only had the mobo for a short time, approx 1/2 months.

I literally pressed delete and it was just a case of moving across the bios wth the arrow keys to the advanced section... tbh I can't remember but it was simple.

I had the factory bios... Try update it as deepfried suggests.

Maybe take a photo of what you can see?

i found it, by accident, in an option i saw as ulrelated

it was advanced > jumper options > AI Overclocking > Manual

but surely, it should be in cpu config ?

asus make confusing bios's....

No, that make sense lol.

They call it jumper settings because in the olden days of socket 370 Etc, you had to manually move jumper caps to adjust clock speed.

these days theres timing crystals and all sorts of new fangled doo dah. kids these days, i don't know....
