Hi guys, I have the setup as mentioned above and 16Gigs of Corsair 1866Mhz 1.5v Vengeance ram.

Can it be for real that my CPU needs over 1.34v to be stable at 4.6? I see other other people do it below 1.3.. Did I get a crappy chip?

Any suggestions to settings? Any feedback at all is welcome

if thats 4 x 4GB, try 2 x 4Gb and retest.. the earlier sandies can make OC tricky with 4 sticks
hogging the resources with the onboard memory controller. try @ 1333Mhz, too.

Needed 1.325v with Load line on Extreme, guess I didn't get the best chip :P whatever. 4.6ghz is plenty for me and my games (: thx

ouch.. 1.325 isnt too bad, what stable load temperature and cooling method?
i'd thought there'd be a better LLC control for the V boards... are you getting a stable
PSU 12-5-3v references? and there is no app running in the background? i wouldn't think an
aggressive VDROOP control would be needed for a low-volt setting. 1.4/1.5 yeah...
s'mthing dont sound right..

1.310v now I use a H100 with some Corsair AF120 quiet edition fans, no push/pull, but I've ordered 4x Scythe gentle typhoon 1850rpms..

PSU is Corsair AX850. I got no clue, it's my first Sandy, and I've only got an Extreme board because it matches my color theme and the Formula has the SupremeFX chip which always causes problems

remember when looking at results compare properly. if you have HT on you will need more vcore than somebody whose turned it off. I use 1.35 in bios whicg relates to about 1.36 booted. On my 2600K but I also stressed mine to 5.3 in the cpu's infancy so it may be why I need more to keep it stable. Yeah I used 1.6ish vcore to make 5.3GHz bench stable ON AIR :D

sin, are you using the extreme LLC control? i ask, becasue for such a weak voltage, he is having
to use the extreme mode for LLC control. seems a lil drastic, usually the medium should take
care of VDROOP in this case.. chip really doesn't dictate VDROOP.. more the controller
or VRAM or PLL...

I'm guessing my chip has a horrible IMC.. I cant boot up with my 1866mhz 910927 ram oced to 2133 11 11 11 27 with 16gigs and not even 8gigs

Errr thats a pretty big push...
I wouldnt have thought it should be booting at that really. You've only marginally increased timings and upped the clock a fair bit.

You moved vccsa and vccio at all?

I'd still say that was too big a push for 1866mhz RAM. Settle for the stock speeds, maybe try and tighten the timings a little, but an increase in mhz after about 1866 isnt gunna make a lot of difference anyway

I have it at 4.8ghz 1.45vcore now with Ultra high LLC 1.65v PLL 1866 910927 1t memory 1.5v

I wont test stability before I got my 4 Scythe 1850rpm Gentle typhoon's home
