Asus HD 7850 crash after OC !

i just got the 7850 and it's amazing . but i wanted more

the problem is i overclocked it to the MAX using asus GPU Tweak
also tried using MSI afterburner and it still crash.

the stock settings for this GPU is
GPU clock 870
GPU voltage 1210
Memory clock 4840

Overclocked it to these settings.

GPU clock (MHz): 1050
GPU Voltage (mV): 1300
Memory Clock (MHz): 5800
Power control settings: 20%
power supply: Antec 620w High current gamer.

am i pushing it too far ?

take the gpu c to 1000, gpu v to about 1250 and the memory to 5200 and try again

yes, maybe, but it depends purely on the silicon lottery, just cos one will doesn't guarantee all will.
its exactly the same situation as overclocks on cpu's (mine will not boot at anything over 4.7ghz, but some can make it over 5.0ghz for example)

Aye, don't think that because others have reached a certain clock that you are destined to do the same.
The card was sold to you with the guarantee that it could run at stock clocks (or whatever was advertised for your card) - any overclocking whatsoever is just extra, but is not required! I've seen people try to return their cards (reference ones) because they felt they had the right to overclock them. I am in no way saying you are like this, i'm just pointing out that you may be stuck at stock and there may be very little that you can do about it.
I do hope that you can push your card further though! The more free performance, the more better

I have two similar gigabyte hd7970,and they dont oc to the same.First will do 1250mhz and the 2nd will do 1350mhz.
