Get ready to pay an extra $50-100 on this, Also really dumb move IMO bye leaving the DVI port on this GPU, DVI needs to die on these higher end cards.

EVGA will most likely cost the same and if you look at the pics from the source for the https://www.overclock3d.net/news/gp...ons_of_three_aftermarket_gtx_1080_ti_models/1 article they have also included a DVI port on the 1080Ti's
"Dumb" move EVGA?
It's interesting they've gone the dual DP + Dual HDMI route this time. Maybe for VR headsets?
The older models had single HDMI, Triple DP.

Yep dumb move bye EVGA cause Nvidia had the right idea bye not having it on there and before anyone says why i know the reason why they did it.
IMO no high end GPU should have DVI.
IMO DVI needs to die on higher end cards.

TBH I have to agree Nvidia did the right thing getting rid of the DVI on the higher spec card and all MF should have followed suit
This time? The 1070 Strix also has dual DP + Dual HDMI.
Other than it's what I expected, although I must say I like the move to a 2.5-Slot cooler design. Dual slot just looks so slim in a single GPU config.
My 1070 Strix just looks lost in comparison to my old iChill 770 X3 HerculeZ. I love that card and Inno3D's aesthetics in general.
Why are people concerned about the DVI port?
I don't think removing it will help get you to a single slot anyway unless you waterblock the card which is a smaller market.
As for the thickness. Now that tri/quad SLI is practically a dying cause, it's nice they can go for thicker coolers without worrying about space between pcie slots. Imagine two chunky high watt dissipating coolers in dual SLI. Would be nice.
Could possibly be same length. Reference model dimensions are the same afterall.
