The DCUII GPUs are heavily dependent on good case airflow, Do you have good intake and outtake ?

Also it depends what you have your power and temperature targets set to as well as fan curves.

He has already said its all on auto - 83 is fine dude dont worry just means your GPU is nice and quiet.

For me that's too high, 3 x intake fans blowing over the GPU are always at max, Quiet editions so they aren't loud :)

For YOU maybe, he didnt ask about you though...... You just made it sound like there was something wrong with his rig and there isnt. Go careful with your replies dude.....

Mainly going off of multiple reviews out there not my own experience as I know not everyone runs 3 intake fans at max settings :)

*EDIT* Quite a few reviews tend to say different temperatures, Some says 80's some says 70's, Must be down to open air test beds then vs closed case environments.

DCUII do prefer nice airflow though, atleast this current gen does. IF you don't like the temps then build a custom fan curve. Then again the DCUII does keep a nice cool/quiet balance ususally.

Didn't work so well on the 290X, My case side window started to get hot ^_^

Thats not a 780 Ti is it.... Expecting a 290X not to be hot just makes you either highly optimistic, not able to listen to/read reviews, a n00b...... or all of the above

I was just saying for shits'n'giggles, Come on guv lighten up ;)

I think someone needs their morning/afternoon coffee ^_^

In the end I think it's down to what the owner of the GPU wants - a quiet but hotter card, or a loud but cooler card. Either is fine but I personally always set a more aggressive fan profile to keep temps below 75C. That's what I'm comfortable with and it prevents GPU Boost 2.0 downclocking the core speed.

Also, the hot air from the Asus coolers get blown out of the top and sides of the card.

Which would be blowing strait onto your side panel window. You know, which would cause it to get hot
