Asus GTX 760 Striker or a Asus GTX 770 Direct CU?

Hi there, Im trying to figure out what graphics card Im going to get in 5 days. Im going for a GPU before CPU, motherboard and all that, because I am stupid. Either way, I can get a GTX 770 for less than a GTX 760 (In general, not just the Striker.) But I read the 770 is a "rebranded and upgraded 680". So what should I really go for? Another GTX 760, the Striker, or the 770 Direct CU? It will be paired with that new 20 Anniversary Pentium, and a good motherboard. Not quite sure what yet. Can I get some tips from y'all?

It is worth noting I will probably SLI with another 760 if I go for it, but probably not with another 770, but maybe.

Well if you know that you will SLI with the 760 then that is the way to go and for a board Go either MSI or Asus and you wont go wrong

I don't regret having the twins, they handle anything thrown at it with ease, I not tried a 770 so can't comment, but if you are going to SLi the two strikers, then it will be more than a 770 on its own.

The Asus R9 280X DCuII TOP is near enough the same price as the Striker and consistently beats it by 10fps+. I don't know if they scale as well in Crossfire but you should definitely give it some consideration. Pretty much all of the current generation are a rebrand of another card but I agree with you it is hard to find a 770 with a nice current generation cooler, I wouldn't want to buy something with the old DCu either.

Strikers are $420 each in australia. For the price of two of them I could geta 780ti and still save money
