ASUS G-Panel for ROG Motherboards

ASUS has revealed their G-Panel which allows a user to adjust FSB, voltage, fan speed, etc from a convenient 5.25" drive-bay device.

Very sexy. The key will be the price point it arrives at.

If it is more than the difference between a P6 and the P6 with the OC Palm (about £35), plus the price of a fan controller (about £30), then it really isn't worth it.

However, I doubt it'll be £60. Even the Alphacool two-bay display is about 70, and that's just a display.

'Fraid to say it looks expensive. I'm not sure I will actually buy Asus again, their appalling customer support is my main reason. That and I've spent a good 4 hours trying to get the computer to boot after corsair finally ordained I'd waited long enough. (funny how it says 1-2 day turn around when filling in the RMA, then gives an email saying 15 days)

It looks really cool and I think it'll be a great accessory for overclockers...though I think it'll probably be sold seperately from the boards to keep the prices down.

Also, who has 2 spare 5.25 bays anymore? What with a PicoITX computer in one, bluray and dvd writers, floppy dics and card reader and accesories draw (can't live without that now) I have one left...

looks like one good piece of kit, definately be a good thing on the front of the pc, it's just if they can bring it out at a good enough price really, but daym it looks expensive!

Funny how these are becoming popular now.

A certain manufacturer used to make things like this. Wonder if these are coming out as they reckon the ideas won't be challenged.
