ASUS DSL-AC68U (asus dsl support refuses to update some settings)

hi all.
this post may be controversial, but i don't know what else to do.
i know that @tinytomlogan he is touch with asus a lot :D, and maybe he can explain them better.

so i have fibre line FTTC vdsl with 17a profile from isp TIM,the issue is that is interleavead with g.inp(for gaming the best option is the line to be in fast-path)
the problem is that i live in italy, and here in my region i have only 2 isps, tim and vodafone, which is garbage, won't let u use different modem and their profiles are interleaved too.i call the isp to change my line in fast-path and they say it cannot be done because fibre can't be set in fast-path,which is a lie because vdsl is almost identical to adsl, they simply refuses and trash your faxes.
I looked around on some uk forums and somebody suggested me the ASUS DSL-AC68U because has a lot of tweaks.
So i got it plus a dev debug tool which gives access to the console.
There i can change the line parameters, there after disabling G.inp i can change in fast-path only the downstream because there aren't commands for the upstream, which is the the most important for online gaming.
So i contacted xdsl_feedback@asus.com through a person, otherwise they will not respond, to update the dsl firmware to add settings for the upstream too.
After 3 weeks of exchanging emails didn't conclude nothing because that person has lack of knowledge with these parameters.
So the person from the support said that is impossible for the CO(cabinet) to take instructions from CPE (modem) and that only downstream can be changed, which is wrong.
With the modem from the isp the line has an INP of 59 for both directions as you can see here.
With asus the inp for both directions is 4.0 as you can see here.
It clearly shows that the modem can change the parameters for both directions, not following the CO instructions. In fact users say that between G.inp and fast path there is a difference of 4 ms,i have a difference of 3 ms,inp from 59 to 4.
To turn the line in fast path, just need to change 2 parameters for both directions, INP 0 and DELAY 0,this way no error correction and no hit reg problems.
I told him a lots of times, but he insists with his things and confusing parameters inp with shrine an so on.
they simply need to add the commands for the tx aka upstream inp 0 and delay 0,and they also can add command to disable trellis coded modulation TCM for the upstream too, it works for the downstream, and to change the encapsulation type from PTM to ATM.This modem has magic but it's not put in use.
I want to upgrade my gpu and start streaming on twitch or youtube, but i can't with this line.it's not funny to see somebody,u start shooting,he doesn't die,see you shooting, turns and kills u.
Asus says it supports gamers, but in this situation i don't see support at all.
I know that this is very weird, but stuff works, just need the upstream and job done.

thanks.

Although ADSL and VDSL are similar technologies, there is a marked difference in the way they are handled by ISP's.

ADSL was predominantly run through ISP hardware at the cabinet (LLU) and therefore any changes could be dealt with directly by the ISP themselves.

VDSL in most countries is still rented from the company (Openreach in the UK), the DLM on those lines is controlled by the line provider and not the ISP. So asking a ISP to change settings is pointless. DLM on VDSL lines is dealt with differently due to the way FTTC works.

Changing any settings on your end will only change any communication from your router to the cabinet (The copper line part). In order to have anything else changed the DLM would have to be convinced that interleaved isn't required, which to be honest just won't happen unless you are residing pretty much on top of the cabinet.

ye i know how isps manage their lines.in my case, all is owned by the isp so no problems regarding that.and all is done in remote, dslams are managed in remote, like another isp which i don't have,u simply pm them on twitter with line details and the word fast path and done.
here in italy we don't have dlm on cabinets, at least on my provider, that's why all this thing is weird and CO follows CPE.
i can change pretty much all the settings, including line tones an so on and my line never got reset ed.

tinytomlogan can you please inform asus about this.your word is powerful and will help a lot of gamers.we simply in deep ,gaming it's not fun with interleaving with a constant error correction.
i talked with the dsl support from Taiwan but they don't want to cooperate and show incompetence.
i'm sure that input from higher ranks will push the dsl support to update it.
thanks
