I set up my mates rig, same spec as mine apart from a POV 8800 GTX.

And well according to the asus PC Prode 2, the MB temp keeps going over 45*C and makes some warning sounds :S?. any idea what this means? anyone know where the MB thermal sensor is on this motherboard?

have you checked the temps in the BIOS at all? I'm just concerned that the PC Probe might be mis-reporting.

In the Bios,

Cpu 48

MB 44

NB 45

SB 45

and after you play a game or somthing the tempatures goes to

Cpu 55

MB 49

NB 51

SB 49

Is it in a case? Does it have decent airflow?

I'm pretty sure my mobo is at 38 deg...

It is in a Case, p182, fans all set to max =/. however my room gets really hot, so ill see how the temps are when he takes it pc home.

As I have not yet located the thermal sensor, all I can think is that somethings exhaust fan is hitting it - blowing hot air onto it... That or your room is really hot, or the mobo is a dud.
