Asus B450 ITX - no post, board LED red!

Just testing my new Asus B450-I and Ryzen 2600. All connected up but no display on screen.

Asus board start-up LEDs stuck on red. According to the manual, this means a CPU error.

PSU is 750w Corsair and have tried 2 GPUs.

Help!

did you install the CPU correctly? Does it have power? Cables all plugged in? Memory seated all the way? Tried posting to bios with just CPU and one ram stick?

Hi, yes. Just reseated all cables. Checked CPU orientation correct. Motherboard lights up fine and fans spin. Have tried both sticks and one stick of RAM too. It's Corsair LPX 3000.

Moved 1 stick into slot B1 and it booted so I went into BIOS.

Tried to flash latest BIOS from USB but board said it was incorrect BIOS. So, tried direct from internet instead - again, incorrect BIOS apparently!

So, switched off and went on another PC to download ALL BIOS files from Asus website for the board! Back to the Ryzen...... red LEDs again, won't boot!

Have you tried reapplying the cpu cooler and evenly tightening the screws, sometimes the cooler pressure can cause these no shows.

Yeah, tried a few times.

Latest is that I am currently in the BIOS trying to flash it to the latest version FROM 0901. I have downloaded the 3 latest versions and all say SELECTED FILE IS NOT PROPER BIOS FILE when I try them. Downloaded the wrong ones somehow...?

So, tried updating direct from internet via board without USB inserted. SAME MESSAGE!

I'm so confused right now!

It worked eventually, when I tried a different USB socket. Still doesn't explain the same message when tried over a hard-wired internet connection via the Asus UEFI tool. Oh well!

So, Windows 10 installed eventually... but on restarts, still hit and miss as to whether it boots. Might return for a replacement.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys :)
