ASUS announces their G701VI gaming laptop

Why wont they at least go back to the all black stealth color scheme if they wont at least design it so that it doesnt look like a kids toy if you take it anywhere other than... wait...

Would have been nice if it was a 1440p screen instead as well. Perhaps even 4k since it has G-Sync.

There is only one brand that will do it and you know who that is.

Seems like ASUS & MSI are in a race to see who can design the most stupidest looking notebooks

Woah! I understand the want to have a portable gaming powerhouse. This is way to pricey to even consider. Personally I would look at building an extreme SFF case build first. for less than 2K you could build an awe inspiring system with a full GTX 1080. I just don't get it. Its big, ugly and heavy.

My last notebooks have been from Clevo and Gigabyte.

The Gigabytes were OK, but QC left a lot to be desired. Cooling wasnt great, but hey I had a 980m and a i7 4720HQ stuffed into a VERY slim chassis. The GPU cooling was crazy good with 65c max. The only problem was the CPU running in the 95c range which was not very fun to look at.
