ASUS announces the X99-M WS

So what's up with the 6 pin power connector next to the pcie port? Normally cpu power is 4 or 8 pin, aren't they?

Most likely auxiliary power to the PCIe lanes. Quite a lot of high end boards utilize them as cards can pull a fair amount of power through the lanes and I guess even on board audio and M.2 SSD's use a fair bit too. Plus it's all about getting clean power to each of the components. A molex is most common on the bottom edge of the board however some use 6 or 8-pin PCI power connectors. The X99-M WS has two 8-pin EPS connectors as well, pretty beastly :D much overclock.

This is a phenomenal looking board, such lust, an all time favorite for me before i've even seen one IRL.
