We definitely need more Assassin's Creed games, this kind of genre has been lacking lately.

Think I'd have to join you in that sarcasm
AC though a good game I wish it and the other franchises COD BF would take a big loss in sales so the developers can start thinking of something new instead of a rehash of the same old same old

I liked AC1 and AC2, it went downhill quickly after that.

I did get 3 but could never get interested enough to finish it, I think it just got to much of the same.
I have pre-ordered the new civ but even that I'm wondering is it worth it and I have every version of civ

Got AC3 when it was on sale for like 3.50. I even played it for a couple of hours until the bugs got too ridiculous.
I don't mind that they stick with the same gameplay for years, what i do mind is that the quality just keeps getting worse.

I agree with the re releases of these sequels adding hardly anything to the game costing them very little ,in comparison to a new game type.

But there are remakes or updates i would like to see and would pay retail for, like a final fantasy 7 remake but in the latest engine not just a re-release. And this is sad but i wanna play pharaoh and games like that again. :)

Cinemawares wings is the game I'd love to see remade, nothing like facing 10 enemy planes solo

dont think i had the pleasure of playing that, whos the team to make it and who published?

it was an amiga game made and published by cinemaware, you flew a bi/tri plane during ww1 but also had a day to day story of a pilot and what was going on in the war that drew you into the game plus good music for the time

I could play another AC or just play Shadow of Mordor, that isn't a shitty console port by ubisoft, doesn't have bugs and is better assasins creed than assasins creed itself.

I learned in my film studies that in the broadest sense, films have only 3 storylines, man vs. man, man vs. machine and man vs. nature. The same can be said of games. Any game is just a re-hash of one or more in combination of these types. I enjoy film whether making them or watching them and the fact that they are all the same doesn't matter to me, good storytelling is enjoyable.
I feel the same way about games, I enjoy playing games and will often get out a game I completed long ago and have another shot at it. So to me the fact that there is nothing new does not spoil the fun for me.
A few games that I truly enjoyed and would like to see expanded upon and updated with the new technologies are: Myst and Riven, Portal, Warcraft -not WOW and Tomb Raider -original play style not the way it's being done now and several others.

I guess I just enjoy games in general and do not demand a new wheel with every release.
I even like the old movies in black and white, in fact many are better than the new computer intensive CGI films being made today.

AC and SoM are pretty different.. also its quite dumb to say that AC Unity/Rogue is a shitty console port when they aren't even out yet.

You can't compare those two types of categorization. Yours generalizes an entire form of media while we generalize just a single franchise.
The less detail you take in account the more everything seems the same, there isn't really a line you can draw where something becomes repetitive garbage. AC definitely crossed that undefined line for me though.
Take the Hangover movie for example. It's a comedy, so is 21st Jump Street, but that's about all they have in common. The storylines aren't similar and you don't feel like you watched the same movie twice. Now look at Hangover 2. That movie was like a bad dejavu. Iirc there is Hangover 3, i didn't watch it but i'm pretty sure it's the same shit all over again. Assassin's Creed is like Hangover 8 right now, it's just a joke.

Do you really need to wait for the release to know that AC will be a bad port? Come on, Assassin's Creed was never a good port and Ubisoft currently uses every opportunity to fuck with the PC platform.
There is a point where chances shouldn't be awarded anymore, you wouldn't lend money to a person who didn't pay you back multiple times either. That's just naive.
SoM is a surprisingly good port though, still needs a controller to be played properly, but they ticked most of the important boxes for a PC game.

Black Flag was a good port. Never had a problem with it at max settings. GPU usage stayed near 100% the whole time(meaning no weird frame rate drops) and never had a bug.

Sure I can, if I want to.
BTW, I don't care for the sophomoric idiocy that permeates the 'comedy' genre today, films like hangover are a waste of time imo.
I never said all comedies are the same, nor are all dramas, or thrillers, but all movies have the same 3 story archetypes, which is the point I was making.

I like movies even though this is true, I even like watching the pre 1950's 2 color films from black and white using a red and a green record, I like the look of the process.
