Assassin's Creed: Ragnarok Leaks - Cross-Gen AC with Vikings

Should be Hella good fun, but all us Marvel fans know how this one ends.

I agree with this. As for the end of the article stating this info may be fake (and it could be) - I don't agree with this for the simple fact that in various AC games there have been mentions of both Samurai assassin and Viking assassins so the likelihood that the next AC game installment will be one or the other is very high.

I'd like to see Vikings before Samurai but I honestly would be okay with either haha. Currently playing Black Flag since I haven't played it in years and want all the achievements on my xbox one x and just completed 100% on AC3 and AC Liberation.

After Black Flag i'll likely redo Origin for all the achieves and then get the newer stuff that has come out in Odyssey that I've not done yet (done most of the newer stuff).

Well they hinted at vikings in the division 2. You can see a poster of a viking holding the apple of eden.

Ragnar Lodbrok as the main character? I hope not because he's been very successfully portrayed in Vikings so people would undoubtedly compare the two. Ragnar is seriously one of the best TV show characters of all time IMHO.

I really doubt that Ubisoft can do a better job. But since nobody really knows if Ragnar was a real person or not, he definitely fits.

I believe he was, but extremely over glorified as the centuries passed. According to historians that is. He will most likely be added as a cameo of sorts for some sidequests much like Ben Franklin shows in AC, or leonardo da vinci, etc

Well technically everything about "Vikings" is all glorified as they didn't write anything down and the only reports on then we're by their enemies.

Very true, but not just that. Vikings were known to tell stories of their own deeds and heroics which as you say were glorified and blown out of proportion. Need to sell a story after all. Vikings were big on leaving a legendary status behind. It is pretty much why you read/hear or even see movies where they give their name followed by "son of". Even my last name follows the same pattern. "Hansson" Son of Hans :D

I honestly believe that way to name yourself is an amazing thing. I just think it's a pride thing. Better than the current standard where everybody holds the same last name for generations, not like i know my ancestry but I'd definitely know my father's name :D
