Assassin's Creed: Origins Gameplay reveal

People are bitching about it even though it looks good. They are just mad it's not another ezio franchise and won't give this one a chance

It's on the Scorpio.. sorry Xbox One X...(stupid name). Yeah people always complain. I hope they make this a series or at least 2 games long for the plot. This would be the perfect time to do it. The Origins of the Assassin's Order against the rising Templar corruption and how we end up where we are today. Could pretty easily make this 2 games long

I love that they've revamped the terrain like they did in ACIII when they added trees that can be scaled and in Unity with buildings that can be traversed through. But the voice acting sounds pretty bad. I'm not sold on the bird of prey that can hover midair and spots enemies, but as long as it's not like the novelties of previous AC games I think it could work.

It's supposed to be represent eagle vision and how that term came to be in future assassin's. It's explained in the story, they didn't say when but it's probably towards the end I'd guess where many things are summed up and explained

Sorry, I lost interest in the story when Desmond died. Or was it when Desmond killed that girl... I can't remember. It just became the most pretentious pile of tripe imaginable. Funnily enough, the story was why I first got into the game back when you could rip yourself out of the Animus and walk around the lab for a few minutes before realising there was feck-all to do.

I wonder if the eagle is because going back to where they have in theory there wouldn't be many really tall buildings, and eagles can hover so not that much of a stretch

Nah they just took that gameplay mechanic from Wildlands with the drone and Primal with the owl vision, Ubisoft games are starting to all be the same just with a skin change.

I understand where they got the mechanic from, I was just thinking it makes a little sense to have an actual eagle, though how it marks the targets and passes that info back leaves a big question

It is the origin of the eagle vision mechanic that all Assassin's use albeit they have a more natural version of it. It's not a big deal...
