ASRock's latest BIOS Disables Non-K Skylake Overclocking

I knew all a long that intel would be pi**ed at this over clocking on non K CPUs. I'm thinking that all of the companies who make intel motherboards have got into trouble over this ASRock is the first company to release an update for the bios i expect the other companies to follow soon enough

I wouldn't be surprised if the overclock feature bios disappeared soon as new revisions of the boards are released.

Edit: To be fair non k chips are already binned so people aren't going to get fantastic Overclockers anyway, if anything this would work in Intels favour and burnt out chips will need replacing ;)

I noticed that when I went looking for a new BIOS to flash my ASRock Z170 Extreme4 to patch the skylake bug.

Oh well... nice while it lasted. :p
