ASRock has unveiled two socket 1151 motherboards, featuring the Z170 chipset. Meet the Extreme 7 and FATAL1TY Gaming K6.

That board looks kinda sweet in my opinion, reminds of the Sabertooth and Armor Edition boards from ASUS.
Never really been a fan of the Fatal1ty boards though.

Yeah they definitely look better compared to the last generations of ASRock board. I actually quite like the FATAL1TY board too this time, for the first time since the P67 FATAL1TY one (except for the heatsink on the P67 one. That was hideous).

GPU spacing

Is it only me, who is looking for a board optimized for 2 GPU's?

Best design, I think, would be to have 2 free slots / 5 cm of air between 2 double-slot GPU's.

But this design is almost impossible to find.

Once in a while, you can find a board where the bottom PCIe slot can be used, but then your GPU 'hangs' down off the board and you usually run into case problems, and need to find a 8-slot case.

The board should shift the 2.nd PCIe 3.0 slot down one place and they would be perfect.

my Asus z97 pro has that exact layout for sli gpu's

If the logo on the chipset on the Fatality board wasn't there I would say it looks really good.. but that ugly logo kills it

Don't pin me on this, but it looks like it might be a sticker, or at least removable with some modding.

I do agree though, I love the look of the board but not too keen on the logo either.

Link? As far as i can tell, there is only a single free slot between the GPU's when you use the first two PCIe slots with 2-slot GPU's. Meaning about 2.5 CM free space between the 2 cards.

If you use the first and the bottom PICe, then your bottom GPU will hang below the mobo.

Or am I mistaken?

And a pic with sucj 2 GPU's installed. Clearly only one slot free between cards.

I'm i looking at the wrong mobo?

Edit : It's a layout like this I'm looking for (this is old, and PCIe 2.0 - but for illustation it works)
