Aria Claim Cheapest 1155 CPU prices in UK?

Going with the Core 2500K £420 Bundle

Usually Scan are cheapest for PC hardware. And they've just updated thier site with the new Asus 1155 motherboards too. £142 for the P8P67 Pro which seems decent. Just a shame with the Quick Sync rumour going around though.

May wait until the X67 boards are out. Maybe then Bulldozer will offer some competition for Intel.

Not really surprised, if I was a retailer, and another retailer started selling a product lower than it was supposed to be, I would try to negotiate with them to bring it back to a standard price. anyways it means cheaper for us, but I bet they will be gone like cup cakes.

What Quick Sync rumour?

Yeah, the said retailer was/is trying to sell the 2500K for £186 and the 2700K for £270 as well as selling the mobos at a higher price to,

I understand them want to make a bit of extra money but £15/20 more per cpu is a blatant rip off. Aria is great and 90% of the time are cheaper than the rest, I am appalled by the other retailer resulting to slander and propaganda to put them down in order to make more money, I will never use them again.

It just shows how much they really care about their customers and the lengths they will go to in order to rip them off, I hope this information is posted all over the net so everyone can see how badly they treat their customers and other retailers.

This was announced on OCUK:

Hi there

OcUK has 1000+ Sandybridge CPU's in stock along with motherboards too from Asus, Asrock, Gigabyte, Foxconn and MSI all in stock. Launch is Sunday the 9th and *WE HAVE STOCK*!!

Competitors listing pre-order now do not have stock, they won't get stock or literally a handful of units so don't be tempted by pre-orders or silly cheap prices, if you want a Sandybridge on time wait until launch on 9th and buy *ONLY* from an etailor with stock to avoid dissapointment. Once again OcUK has 1000+ in stock and we go live Sunday 9th unless Intel tell us otherwise.

Those who ordered today will get their orders before the weekend, anyone else waiting to order don't be fooled by temptation of those listing as pre-order because they will be lucky to get stock if any at all.

So OcUK will be able to deliver before anyone else.

Basically wait until the 9th and *ONLY* by from etailors who list as *IN STOCK*

We would go live but were a direct Intel customer and we value our relationship with Intel, those who are breaking this NDA are not supported by Intel and will never get their support.

OcUK will only launch early if we get go ahead from Intel which looks unlikely.

I'm not an OCUK regular, I just popped over to see what the fuss was about.

The post is blatant lies, as they have done the same thing before on previous big launches.

Aria's response:

Dear all,

It seems that one of our competitors in their desperate attempt to charge you an extra £20, have said stuff that are purely not true.

The same competitor have got where they are now by being the “outlaw”. Now they are justifying their relationship with manufacturers as an excuse to charge you extra to line up their pockets.

So if you want to purchase the new intel CPU from them for an extra £20 with the same warranty, the same spec and from the same manufacturing line, then go ahead.

If you want to save yourself money and have extra to spend on accessories; then come to us.

and after people were sceptical:

Hi Guys,

I just got Aria take a picture with some 2500, 2500K, & 2600K chips we have. The stock room lads were grumbling as they were very busy.

I just managed to quickly get some boxes together, put Aria behind it, and take a picture lol

Just goes to show some scumbags are worried

FYI ALL: ALL 1155 boards are now live - http://www.aria.co.uk/Products?search=1155

OCUK always have 1000+ stock on new big launches even with the GTX570 when only 300 were brought (was officially announced by NV) into the country

why anyone buys from there is beyond me

good job aria

i cant believe OCUK is going through all this

i would much rather save £20 and wait a couple of days longer than pay an extra £20 and get it sooner

at the end of the day i know of a couple of people from aria who have brought from aria and already got it theor mobos (not NickCPC)
