i just scored myself a 512 stick with hynix ram chips (pc3200) i was thinking i could put it with my OCZ Rev. 2 EL Platinum 512 stick but seeming as tho my comp has been overclocked to such a degree would it work?

Hynix RAM chips are great if you own an Intel...for example Kingston runs sweet on them!!!! :) Just ask NickS how his P4 folded with Kingston RAM

kk but im guessing its a totally difference story when it comes to amd's?

it wont beat ur ocz so it may not work. what speed is your ram currently at? i would expect the hynix to get 235 and 250 wth loads of voltage and loose timings.

In my experience, you are likely to get around a 30mhz overclock from hynix ram and also maybe tighten timings slightly from cas3 to 2.5 with a bit of extra voltage.

It runs fairly hot, especially if u put more voltage through it, and i've had my old hynix ram running at 3.2v for several months without any problems.

im not sure i havent got cpu-z ill get it but im pretty sure its around 310mhz

If ur running ur OCZ @ 310 u have it topped out and Hynix chips arent going to even come close to those speeds... Sell the 512 hynix module for another 512 tccd module
