Aquaero 6 XT damaged on delivery

Well, I caved and got the Aquaero, but really, my first moments with this unit was filled with horror.

Thought reading about some Aquaeros getting delivered to customers with badly put together front panel assemblies was a rare occurrence and admittedly, it still might be rare and I just ended up another one of the unlucky few.

Got the package with the unit from HighFlow today. Dunno if this is the result of careless manufacturing and poor quality control or if it happened during transport either from manufacturer to HighFlow or from HighFlow to me.

Whatever the cause might be, this is how it came out of the box ...

It looks like the front panel has been bent somehow. Send it back and get another, you're well within your rights to do so.

Congrats on getting one, you'll find no better way to control your system :).

Bummer, it will be well worth your time to have it replaced. There is really nothing better out there. It's one of the best upgrades I have ever made.

I've been in contact with AC support but since weekend happened, nothing is moving along atm.

However, a "social media" company representative over at the AC forums seem to indicate that it is possible to to get a replacement front panel assembly directly from AC without having to deal with the HighFlow RMA process.

Congrats on getting one, you'll find no better way to control your system :).

I also got the black face plate replacement part and I thought it was supposed to come with black anodized screws, which it didn't.

I now see in your sig that you have mounted such a black face plate onto your own unit and I assume it's been done with the original stainless screws holding the original stainless face plate.

Maybe it's possible to get black anodized ones from a local hardware store.
