Apple release Safari 3.1

Apple today released the browser they are calling the world’s fastest web browser for Mac and Windows PCs. Safari 3.1.

Na I don't think I'll shift over to be honest.. Quite happy with Firefox. The speed isn't bad and I've already got it set up how I want it.

How can it be faster than any other browser? I mean fair enough IE is slow, but firefox is instant for me..

I use firefox in OS X, linux & windows

I tried safari when it was released for windows and the fonts were really bad

The new Safari is really fast on OS X as it's a more optimized build and is compiled better for intel based mac's, but I miss all my plugins for firefox and also lose a lot of stuff when I log in to wordpress etc

Safari is definitely faster than firefox on OS X tho

used Safari until a beta stopped loading a forum I use and so I went back to firefox, will check this new version out!!

the only time i use IE is when i have to use some parts of my schools website because they are illiterate web people to build it.

Agreed, I would miss that too....and Safari was buggy as hell on dowz...great on OSX (and the iPhone) though
