Apple MacBook Air Almost Here

It looks cool :)

some good features like LED backlight, touchpad gestures and remote drive.

Seems quite pricey atm tho :(

U`d be supprized how little u use an optical drive sometimes.

Nice idea about the iphone touchpad - my idea was to make it the screen and lose the keyboard. Maybe too futuristic.

$1800/$3500, which unfortunately would translate into the same £ value I`m sure, give or take. I dunno, I mean buying a go-faster regular notebook for £650+, or £900 for one of these when ur on holiday ;)
 
Deffo not for me if I was in the market for a laptop. No optical, no ethernet and a non-replacable battery...wtf

Sooner have a Macbook or a MBP...or a lightweight Vaieoeoiaoioiaoioeeoaio
 
dont think the shareholders think much to it as apple's shares took a dive over the macworld thing.

Is a sexy laptop though.
 
Its looks great and is class but is a lil poncy for me... I want a laptop that might survive a drop.

Obviously if someone wanted to give me one I wouldn't say no :D but don't think I'd buy one.

And I don't care what they say... No optical drive sucks.
 
the optical drive is only £65. Even then you can buy cheaper ones. Personally i love it and will most certainly be buying one for uni.
 
Very VERY nice laptop.

Although im a little skeptical about the 24/7 use of the laptop. Going many places etc..

And its a MAC, dont no if i will get that for UNI. I know how to trouble shoot windows machines.
 
Frankly as I said I'd rather have a Macbook and "suffer" the extra weight. The Air is a waste of money for anyone who doesn't look in the mirror every 5 minutes imo :)
 
Overpriced, Underpoweed with some 'ooh new tech' inside. And it's thin. Big deal.

Usuall Apple tbh. Waste of money.
 
The target aim is towards business people, and for the few people who just want eye candy.

It seems like people are pure pro or con apple... idky, i personally love both PC and Apple, some things are just better than others.

Naa as much as I try to dislike Apple, I know they come out with good stuff.. The Ipod is great but I have no need for one with a 4gb card in my phone. Ipod touch I reckon is slightly pointless.

Same as in my first post in here.. I see good points to it for some people but for the money no way.
 
for a grand and a half more...why didn't they just use SATA?.......or is it just another mac ploy to get more money outta the peeps?

sata would of been cost effective for sure, h/e they had to go the other route b/c of size which is the main concept of this laptop. Its basically using a ipod hd, well it is.
