Apple gives the MacBook Pro lineup some nice upgrades!

That's right, the new MacBook Pro's are here, and they're ready to blow your socks off. I know I'm drooling over my keyboard right now....

What's changed?

- Faster Core 2 Duo's

- nVidia 8600M GT GPU 256Mb on 2.4ghz or all 17" models, 128Mb on 2.2ghz 15" model. (DX10 FTW!!!)

- 17" upgraded LCD option now supports native res of 1920x1200 (w00t!!!)

- 802.11n Airport Card

And the best part? The base price HAS NOT CHANGED! The 17" model fully loaded with 4gb of RAM, 250gb HD, and high-res LCD is still going to set you back a hefty $3,799. But, if you want the best of the best, that's what you get!!

The prices of upgrades look a bit steep

£480 to go from 2gb to 4gb I'm guessing it's just SODIMM 5300

Memory & HD upgrades can always be done cheaper than having Apple (or any other manufacturer for that matter) do it for you. I bought my MBP w/ 1gb of RAM (1st gen MBP) and upgraded it 2 myself as they wanted like $550 for an extra 1gb of RAM. I think I bought the entire 2gb kit for $220 off of Newegg. Just sold the 2x512 modules that came with it last week on eBay, each module fetched $.01, lol.
