Apple Announce New iMacs and MacBooks

Had a look at the new range at Regent Street on Tuesday. The iMac in particular is very nice but out of all the new gadgets, my favourite is the new touch sensitive mouse that detects hand gestures like the touchpads on the Macbooks.

I am however very disappointed with the pricing of the Macbook polycarbonate. While it is now a unibody chassis and incorporates the new touchpad, it is priced too close to the Aluminium MacbookPro and frankly it shouldn't have received a price hike.

Got an email on these suckers earlier in the week.

They only just get the 4850? That's quite a fail.

It's quite a fail not to notice that they use hardware appropriate for the build. Can u fit a 5870 in ur monitor ? And with the black tape holding it in, would it stay cool-ish ?

U can buy an Apple with more Intel cpus and cores than ur pc, actually use them, and the most expensive Tesla-esq card(s) u want. Plus u can install Windows 7 on it if u wanted.

Remember, DirectX is a windows thing.

It's a decent revamp imo. Yes pricey!
