AOC announces their new 200Hz 35-inch 21:9 AGON AG35QCX Freesync monitor

Buying this thing sounds like overkill on Hz, And underkill(if this word exists) on picture quality. Its 2017 around the corner and when someone says here look 1080 :D sounds like a joke, especially on 35 inch panel.

2560x1080. It's actually quite a noticeable difference.
More than most people in the world are only going for 1080p, so it's still a viable resolution

Iv had 29inch superwide and when you go to anything but gaming its uncomfortable(forever scroll), and this is 6 extra inches.

That was the conclusion I came to a few years ago when running 3x 22" monitors in surround. Even with a ten million DPI mouse it would still be a pain.

Games are also not designed for this resolution, so many either look weird or crash (Fallout 4 for example).

I run 3x1080 (60hz :() panels and love it - horses for courses I suppose. There's still a compromise on all monitors between high refresh and high DPI.

Yeah a 34" 1440 165+ hz would be amazing but I think it's pushing it too far. I get what you're saying Kyiagi but remember 34" Ultrawide is around the same as 27" 16:9 as far as vertical height and a lot of people still run those in 1080 if they want super high refresh rates.

Of course 1440p would look better but you just can't push that amount of pixels through current display ports at that speed.

A lot more games support 21:9 now so I'd have no hesitation going that way. OF course I really only play car racing and flight/Space sims or World of Tanks or Warships so field of view is great.

High refresh here would make me feel less ill when I play FPS. Wolfenstien Old Blood and Homefront Revolution give me a headache after about 20 minutes on my setup.
