AOC announces their AG352UCG 3440x1440 100Hz G-Sync monitor

Added to the shortlist. AOC used LG panels for the previous generation. It will be interesting to see where these are sourced from. Maybe a GSync LG in the pipeline?

I quite like this - even the green bits.

edit - oh the Green bits are RGB. Nice. (not sarcastic either)

The price is immense compared to the other curved G-Sync displays, Would be interesting to find out what corners were cut to deliver at that price.

Nvidia may have cut the price of their G-Sync module, as it had to be upgraded to support DP 1.3/4 and HDR.

I doubt display makers would be pleased if Nvidia made their module more expensive for HDR etc.

This looks great. I've had a couple of AOCs and they have always reviewed as best in class for the £. That's not easily done with Dell in the world.

Dice - it depends on the company and the premium they decide to charge mate really. When I bought my HP Spectre it was identical to a BenQ monitor (the panel, inputs etc) only the BenQ was £200 more expensive and nowhere near as pretty.

Red "AGON" logo in the front and RGB in the back?... Why? Why not just make the front logo RGB as well?...

Also, how is VA in comparison to like IPS?.

I've heard VA is a nice stepping ground between TN and IPS. It has solid colour reproduction and relatively low latency, but it doesn't have the viewing angles or the wide range of colours of OLED or even good IPS panels. I think of VA as the middle ground between TN and IPS.

Spot on, basically VA panels have about the same viewing angle without the TN colour inversion as an IPS panel but they wash out colour at acute angles (some more than others)

How does 800 quid translate compared to a swift 34"? Trying to work out what it will cost here. Straight currency conversion doesn't work out properly. Hopefully around $1100 aud.

Nope not $1100 more like $1300 and then retail needs to make their cut i think this monitor will come in around $1399-1499 which makes it an higher price than the ACER but cheaper than the ASUS.

Yeah around Acer pricing but they were pretty competitive with their rebadged LG UM65 so I'll keep my fingers crossed it comes in under 1300.
