Just curious to see if anyone picked up a Wii yesterday. How do u like it? Im very heavily considering one to keep at my parents house.

I got a bad feeling I`m gonna get one, probably whilst drunk, out of the blue, with nostalgic feelings of the Zelda variety. I know it`d be a waste of money for me but meh..

I got vague memories of buying both the ps2 and N64 whilst christmas shopping >.< silly boi.

I went out and got it. Awesome system, until it died. I think I was a rare case as I've not heard any reports of people's Wii's dying but mine did :( Have to send it back and get a new one for nintendo, although I may just by another power brick because I suspect that's the problem. How unfortunate :(. I kicked Ares210's ass while it was working in boxing though. Got Zelda and Red Steel with it, although didn't get a chance to play them.

Camped and got one with Mike. I second it being awesome while it worked. It was very fun to play with the controllers and the graphics werent too shabby. I was also amazed by its size, way smaller than anything else out on the market other than the new PS2, but close.

I hear on the grapevine that u can play gamecube stuff on it and download n64 to snes stuff. Sounds more interesting.

Heh, me and my Dad saw the Wii line @ Circuit City while getting the HD DVD player addon for our new 360 :p

Mike bought Zelda but it broke before we got to play it:(

And on the topic of N64, best system like ever. Marioparty, 007, Mario Tennis, mariokart, and Super Mario 64. Man those were the days... *flashback*

Even better, most of the games you just listed will probably become available for download on the wii. Maybe not goldeneye :(

The Wii is targeted at kids but it is cheap so its is more affordable than the ps3 and xbox360 so as long as it has lots of good games coming out it will be a good seller.

No it isn't. It's targeted at the regular person. The PS3 is for some 'UB3R H4RDC0R3 G4M3R5" and the Xbox 360, at basically any gamers. The wii is inteded for the average person, even the person that doesn't play video games, or the one that does. Saying it's targeted at children is just ignorant.

I thought the same as antikill tbh. I don't know many older people that play Nintendo. Nintendo IMO has always been geared towards the younger crowd. i don't find it ignorant, it's just an observation that seems very clear.

I thought the same thing as all i really liked to play on the Gamecube was Mariokart and Marioparty but they had no fps and such, just little kid stuff. After playing the Wii though, its really changed my mind. Its not a hardecore system but it is fun to play with lots of good game titles, not just Mario. All in all, its worth the measily price tag of $250 IMO.

Yeah you're definately right, but I guess most people see Nintendo as "Mario," and "Zelda."

What I really wanna see is some footage of Wii in game. Are the graphics much better than Gamecube?

Ive said it once, ill say it a million times. Get rid of the homo-erotic controler and you have a fine console.
