Anyone got an ASUS P5ND2-SLI Deluxe Mobo?

Hi,

I've got one of the above with a Pentium D 840 chip hooked up to a Prometeia Mach 2 and I'm having a spot of bother with it. The original bios that the board came with (0605) works perfectly, but only allows the chip to run in single core mode, which is no good! So I flashed the bios to a later version (0802), which was successful, rebooted, then nothing, no post, no beep, just sat there. After a lot of fiddling about I got the thing to boot again, but it only boots if the evap head is above -20°C, not the usual -33°C that it's set to boot at. This is ok from a cold boot, but I really don't want to be waiting around every time I have to reboot the thing when I'm using it. I have tried other bios versions as well (0708 and 0905) and they do the same, reflash to the original bios and all is fine again.

I guess my question is, does anyone out there have the same set up as me and have they experienced the same thing and do they have any idea how to fix it?

Thanks for your time!

If anyone's interested, I gave up waiting to hear from Asus and got myself another motherboard (Gigabyte 8N SLi Royal), which works beautifully. Now to set the whole thing up again!

Interesting that there may be a boot issue with that particular motherboard - I will mention this to the technical department in Denmark and see if they are aware of it - thanks for the heads up and hope you have better luck with your new board!

Much appreciated if you do mention it to them, hopefully they can fix it. I have sent an email to their tech support, but never heard anything back. This Gigabyte board is all right, but I do prefer the Asus one and would ideally like to swap back if it would work with the prometeia.
