anyone agree that AMD stock heatsinks are shit?

yeah me to! they never perform as well as you want to then you have to go and spend more money fucking around getting better cooling for it

Yes I think we all agree that stock HSF's eat a big wangx0r.

I like the "Stock is Shit!" slogan the best TBQH.

well stock coolers aren't that gr8 but my amd stock cooler keeps my overclcoked cpu @ 35 idle and 45 load. which isn't that bad ;)

although i hate stock i did geta a 754 newcastle 3000+ upto 2.4 on a asrock mobo with a stock cooler and stock thermal crap temps were 42 the reason i couldnt push it further was cause of the crap ass ram the guy bought :( ( hates stoc but some AMD a64 stock coolers can allow ocing of their lower end)

Crap ass ram will do it to you every damn time!

my stock intel cooler is good, but loud. seriously the intel ones dont perform too badly but they make a noise whilst doing it and are ugly.

My intel one is fine. My amd one is just as good but MUCH quieter. I don't believe in spending the extra money on another cooler, especailly when stock is usually fine.

You guys must not be applying it right cause stock AMD coolers are fuckin great. I keep mine on fuckin 6/8 speed, very quiet, at 2 ghz, 27C idle 38-40C load and at 2.5 ghz, 32C idle 51C load (prime95 torture after 24 hours). Quit complaining anyway, the extra dollars for a cooler is usually pocket change and is damn good for stock, from my barton and winchester. Never expect stock cooler to be good for heavy overclocking. At least they aren't like nvidia coolers where you HAVE to replace it or your windows will break from the sound intensity.

Nothing against Stock cooling but even you have to say that a new HS can do a better job ;)
