I've only ever heard of someone using two cards at once a long time ago and I can't remember why. I'm on a mission to do something fun here, or that will make something fun, for me to do with this mod or whatever I do.
I found out the hard way the xonar phoebus doesn't fit into the only possible slot on my rampage IV extreme due to using an nzxt kraken g10/x40 combo. I'm using two of those on two 780 ti's I removed the melt cover but realized that I'd probably break it and don't wanna make contact with my kraken g10 or custom cut backplate I made for the boats rigidity but even without the custom back plate I'd still be hitting/scratching up against the g10 backplate.
So I've got a lot to work with and I want a fun project, I love the scout mode from my only good sound card that fits right now, the sound blaster z, so that's 2 cards I can mess with.
I also have 3 different generations of x-if cards I played a lot of music and those wree my go to sound cards until the drivers started causing conflict with games and sounded like they were causing super minor windows institution probs. that was my fatality championship series card and I think front panel, I still have an older front panel. I also have a $30-$50 basic Asus sound card that's pretty damn good but nothing specially. I was told to get it so I could have a sound card that worked 'till I got the xonar.
Anyone got any fun ideas or heard of anything done with any of the listed cards. I just wanna use that rog xonar to be honest especially since i plan on getting the rog base plate or whatever Asus is calling their touchscreen drive bay panel for OCing. But anything else would be fun since I don't wanna use my sound blaster z either atm since it makes minor contact as well but at least it can fit in the PCI slot without me breaking it so I was gonna put foam in between but I don't know if any foam for anything I've purchased could be conductive or cause more harmattan good.
Anyone got a quick fix or idea for that in the meantime?
- thanks
