ne old drill will do ... a routing bit or a hole saw especially ..

just ensure the case is empty (duh! -- metal filings) and to file down the mod edges after

then vacuum up

Cheers Joe,

I've used drills and jigsaws in the past (with mixed results) and for this job its quite tight so I need something small and easy to use - hence my interest in a dremel.

I won't get a big ol drill/jig in where I need to...

The likes of Maplins and DIY shops usually sell a psuedo dremel looking thing, normally in a presentable case and 50 million attachments. I picked one up in Maplins for about £18 I believe, they were offering them for ages mind.

Will also say some people have bought very cheap ones for doing lots of dremel-type stuff, and found they overheat, so u might want to consider the quality of the tool vS the job(s) u wanna do.

A Dremel kit is a great investment if you do frequent modding or DIY, but I suppose a cheaper clone is just as good for the odd job.
