I bought a palit GTX670 and didn't like the stock fan noise from the card. I found it very annoying.
I already had 1 kuhler 620 on my cpu and was happy with the performance. After reading online I decided to cool the GTX670 with another Kuhler 620.
The card with the fan shroud off - it's tiny!
Heatsink off
Kuhler fitted
The cables have been tidied since these pics were taken...
Running fractal fans in a R3 case on both kuhlers in push pull config. The GTX670 kuhler fans are running at full speed.
I'm also running a fractal 140mm fan at full speed under the card to cool the VRM's. I've left the stock heatsink there.
I've seen temps go from 81 Deg C at full tilt on the stock cooler go to 61 Deg C with the kuhler.
Card is also boosting to 1097Mhz without me touching it.
I'll be looking for some better fans soon though as the fractal fans don't push alot of air at all. Quiet, yes - but I'm sure there are fans just as quiet that push more air. Once I get some better fans I may start to play with overclocking.
Thoughts....
EDIT - - - - -
Overclocking results.... 8% performance increase over stock
Stock
OC to 1247Mhz and mem also oc'd
As far as the card will go. Prob not bad for a reference model.
Temps never got over 63Deg C, I just couldn't get it to run stable at any higher clocks.
