Antec Kuhler 920

Hi, After recently giving my pc a good clean-out, I noticed 2 of the screws holding my Kuhler 920 to my case won't tighten anymore. Is there anyway to re-thread the Radiator or any other way to make it more secure?

If you have rounded out the holes then you have lost metal. Thus, recutting the holes with a tap won't work as you don't have the metal you need to cut the thread again.

You could tap it with a bigger tap and then use a bigger screw but you'd need to be very careful.

Thank for the reply. Thats what I was thinking. Need to re thread bigger and use thicker screws etc

Just be careful you don't make the holes any bigger than the ones on the case - for obvious reasons

I'm leaning towards soldering 6-32 thread to the Rad and using nuts. Think it'll be safer and pretty easy to do.

I agree this is your solution. I have the same CPU cooler. I would tap some M4 threads, and call it a day.
