Another P4C800 gets Volt Modded...

Today i received phils board...

it was a rev 1.03 P4C800 though which is still the same

I did the mods that took me about 30 mins max for both the Vcore and Vdimm.

While testing though and adjusting the VDimm with my multimeter, i couldnt get the black pin thingy to ground properly so that i could read the vdimm...so i dont know why decided to stick it in a hole of the psu used...

it was too late when my brain signal reached my hand screaming "WTF u doing"

BANG...pop went the psu....

unplugged it and used my Enermax and it all was well again....dunno if that psu will ever live again but never mind...this is the second board i have volt modded successfully so i dont care...

enough with the words lets see some pics

Vdimm of 3.34-5V and Vcore of 1.6V under load when set 1.55V in the bios

28K resistance for the Droop mod

time to do some work now cos i already lost 2 days from working on my dissertation to do the mods

BTW how did u guys ship all this stuff arround? i checked on royalmail today and special delivery was £18.75! i cant afford that consering it needs to go both to u and phill, so will settle for 3 day standard parcel service at £8.75 i guess, unless u got some bright ideas

revamping something usually means updating it and making it better, for example revamping a £10 cheap case to look like the dogs danglers, thats a revamp
