Another 980X build.

So hey guys, this is my second topic ever here on OC3D. And I found this the most fitting place to put it.

So here's the thing: My dear friend and computerbuilder as myself, just called me and woke me up, devostated over a build with 980X and dual 580's that might go in the bin as something has gone completley wrong.

I'm putting this topic up in forehand incase of tips needed when I go take a look at it myself now. As what I've heard they put it all togehter, it started nice and normally, but when they hooked up all screencables, mouse etc. the computer just blacked out, the only thing happening when turning on the PSU is the mobo power LED.

The specs might not be that important, but anyways I'll throw it at you:

Intel Core i7 980X

MSI x58 BIG BANG-XPower

6GB Dominator GT PC3-16000

2x MSI GTX580 w/ TwinFrozr II

All powered by Corsair AX 1200w PSU.

Less important info:

Corsair Force SSD 120GB

2x 1TB Samsung Spinpoint F3

CM HAF-X

Corsair H70

Njah, dunno but I'll take a look at it, talk to them IRL and get as much info as possible and try work this out.

If I fail it'd be nice with a bit of help, so all tips are welcome

Affirmative. As soon as I get there I was going for removing ALL the hardware, just keeping 1 RAM stick and 1 GFX card, 1 HDD and so on.

But at first check connections and what's actually happens

I'll be back with more info about the system and also it's happening and if I solve the problem, I'll let you know incase someone guessed right

So guys, the build is fixed. A jumper was missing from the mobo, easy fix just find a new one. The rig is complete and running

All of the hardware was already removed from the case when I arrived "at the scene" xD

Anyways it was the best at that situation, the cable management looked like crap ^^
