Announcement to the [OC3D] Benchmark Team

Hi team,

Most of you know me already as Mr. Smith 'that guy who (occasionally) posts news up'.

Well a new title has been bestowed upon me [OC3D] Benchmark Team Leader (along with Ham).

I have been looking at the hwbot threads and looking at our ranking. It isn't great. I'd like our benchmark team to be ranked higher. The first target is to reach number 30.

To achieve this goal I'm going to need the help of c3d: members If you want in on the action, your name in the Hall of Fame, a cool user name colour then apply here. Other fringe benefits include... Didn't you see you get a coloured title! Well other incentives are in the pipeline.

If you are already part of the team I ask that you enter scores into all the hwbot threads; 3DMark 03, 05, 06 and Super Pi 1M, or you get the boot. Harsh but fair. If you are part of the team we need to see some activity.

Deadline is Friday 15th Feb.

Before anyone says, I know I don't have a 3dm03 score

New mobo goes in 2moro along with all stuff, so benches on thurs.

Im expecting atleast 17k on 3dmark and atleast 13s on superpi so hopefully thatll help out a bit

Well ma friend.. Get my water going in tomorrow so should hopefully be able to push my E6600 a little higher than 3.6. Also RAM may go a touch higher as i'm slapping an OCZ cooler on that.

Doubt I'll get to bench until Monday though as the girlfriend is over on Friday until Sunday.

Good point! I've done this... Need to get OC'in this card as my OC is classed as 'poor'!

My super pi was 'excellent' though...

I'm currently rocking a 6600GT, so my input will probably drag us down more than anything. But don't worry, a peltier cooled crossfire setup is on the way

I didn't realise either mate! I only registered the other day lol. Once you submit a few manually, hwbot picks up other results from users with your username. You can then verify them (hint: yours will be the ones in the list that have oc3d bench team) by typing in your oc3d username and password. Then you collect all the points from your old submissions

Re Bungrals name colour - the bench team was in the same colour as the mods. Changed to clear up.

Rast, are you even in the bench team? I'll check now...

Well will be longer now for benches from me because I either have a DOA motherboard or my CPU broke...

No idea how it could be broken but meh.. wont even post no image on screen.. trying a P4 in it in a moment to see if it works or not.

edit: Q6600 is indeed broken, am RMA'ing asap. Might buy an old P4 to tide me over..
