Because you pretty much do

haha a mate of mine modded his Fractal by cutting it down quite severely. Then we get the Define C and now this funny how things go sometimes !

I don't see the point with fan controlers now. Motherboards have plenty of connectors. You can go 3-way split on everyone of them.

I find its a bit hit & miss with motherboard fan headers. 3 & 4 pin, some are controlled others not...

I've just bought an NZXT Grid+ hoping that will give me the control I need.

NZXT make amazing accessories. I'd love to get them as they are all very convenient and can be controlled with CAM. Just so expensive!

I think it was about £30, provided it lasts it can move from case to case as I upgrade, and is so small can be tucked away in a 3.5 bay.
