A lot of these 'new' features are already out there in another OS that is not Android based. Android users will enjoy these new features as those of us who have them already do. Good step for Android, see what helps in productivity and follow suit.

The USB audio improvements are the biggest deal for me, should mean I'm able to stick my usb mixer into my phone, instead of having to carry a laptop in order to record on the go

So, OTA for the Nexus devices has apparently started, according to @android on twitter and some people who claim to have received the OTA update.

I personally haven't received the OTA Update yet, but I'm waiting for it.
Most important features for me will be Audio via USB, now I can finally use my FiiO E18 DAC with my phone as it was supposed to be. Second biggest thing is that you can now save Pictures as RAW files, so no more shitty jpg ruining your sensor-data.

(Reviving this 1 month old thread due to change in status, I apologize if I shouldn't have)

The OTA update for my nexus 7 wasn't there either, but I used Wugs Nexus Root Tookit to restore to factory then updated the root files and its now rooted also :)

Damn... Viper4Android ruined the OTA update for me... Now I had to wipe all data and flash the image on manually... Please dear android-gods make sure that no data is corrupted at least

Edit: Got Lollipop working now on my Nexus 5 and I have to say it's quite pretty. Still downloading all my apps from google backup but as far as I can tell it's some good stuff.
