AMD's Ryzen 4000 Mobile Processors are a turning point - Intel now has to fight

Why's confusing about it? It's comparing a similar TDP product. It's showing how more efficient AMD is when using the same amount of power.

The 9880H also has a 45W TDP spec but unlike the 9750H which has 6 cores the 9880H has 8, same as the 4800H if I'm not mistaken.

Then again maybe it should be compared to a 10880H? Whatever.

10880H isn't out yet, so AMD literally cannot compare them. It is also likely that AMD's comparing price competitors. I also believe there is a Ryzen 9 mobile line in the works.

I'm not loving the 4800U Vs 1065G7 comparison, although I get that they're technically in the same segment.
I would have preferred to see the i7-10710u in a 15W configuration. Although that's a bit messy.

Never the less, these 4000 series mobile parts are very impressive.

The simple answer is that AMD wanted Intel on its newest CPU architecture, process tech and graphics tech. Its rubbing salt into Intel's 10nm wounds.

Maybe I'm just an old and grumpy person who would rather see the actual merits of each processor than be distracted by x vs y. Or perhaps that's just not anything to get excited over. Then again top end mobile processors are likely going to be held back by the hardware they are in anyway.

BTW there's a Geekbench 4 result for the 10750H, max clock 4.95GHz. Personally not impressed by core vs core performance vs 6 years ago, sorry if I'm spoiling others enjoyment with my negativity. So maybe 10880H is not far away.
