AMD's Don Woligroski has compared their upcoming Vega GPUs to Nvidia's GTX 1080 Ti and Titan Xp, stating that Vega "looks really nice".

I'd love to eat my own words if Vega does indeed compete with a 1080ti. I don't even need that kind of performance, but I'd totally go for it if AMD could pull it off at a price I could afford.

Yup, I smell BS. Reminds me of that joke...

Agreed, clearly a high level rep of any company isn't going to say 'Hey everyone, so I know this was supposed to be great but it just isn't panning out...'.

High hopes for Vega still, I just hope they are marketing it correctly (where they went wrong I think on as labeling 1st gen Ryzen as primarily a gaming chip).

company thing isn't the issue, it's the fact this guy is not even a part of the RTG division that makes it a vague statement
