They didn't show anything new. And they need another presenter. This guy is scarred to death. He has no confidence, and has no clue about the things that he is talking about. I don't care if he is the vice-president. He has no presenting skills at all.
AMD are making so many stupid mistakes. I hope they don't cost them.

This was never really intended to be shown to a western audience, or outside of China in general. In reality, it doesn't really matter, as many of those listening were listening through a translator.
Hopefully AMD will release more info on Vega soon, as I imagine that a lot of people plan on buying the GTX 1080 now that it is cheaper and aftermarket GTX 1080 Ti GPUs when they release.

Either way AMD, as giant that it is, can't in the right mind allow that kind of performance on stage. I have seen my students perform better on their first science presentation.

Who cares? Honestly. It's China. They are all weird anyway. You see MSI ads? That's clue enough what Asian culture is like(I'm part Asian I would know)
Wait for Sue or Raj.

What they really need to do is at their big GPU events they need to sound less scripted and more off the cuff as they sounded like cardboard robots at their last one ^_^
Like "Yes Lisa...we are so....excited *nervous smile*" XD
If the HB Mem. Controller could converge different types of memory we will probably be able to see combinations such as 4GB HBM / 4GB onboard GDDR5(X). It's just my speculation, but it would be fast and cost-effective step.
