Hi guys.
Basically I have just given my old system to my step son. as he is 6 and should be learning about PC's by now lol.
But I wanted to give it a bit more juice. as the CPU runs at 2.7ghz, and was hoping to get at least 3ghz from it.
Being the black edition chip i didnt think this would be much hassle at all. So went into the bios and used a simple overclock I found on the web after a google search.
300 FSB X 10 multiplier.
should of been a nice simple 3.0ghz. But the computer failed to boot, and I got the Bios set to safemode message when it started.
so then I tried upping the Vcore to 1.375. and the same again.
I have always had AMD chips, and have always been able to overclock them with ease. so could this just be that the gigabyte m52L-s3 is just completly useless at holding anykind of overclock?
