no core 17, uses about 3% of one of my cores to feed the gpu so PPD loss would be minimal

The 7663 Wu's run on core 17 and OpenMM5.1, the previous 7662's ran on OpenMM5.0. The OpenMM5.1 has dramatic increase in efficiency, hence the PPD increase.

Nvidia drivers still require the client to use a full core so SMP+GPU folding takes a hit on SMP PPD.

I'm going to wait and see how things shake out when these go public, too many variables ATM, Nvidia's poor OpenCL support, improved code, and cores etc. etc.

Nothing more than just use the latest client 7.3.6 & add client-type beta on the gpu slot, I tried core17 when i 1st got my 660 but the numbers were crap (same as normal wu's) so i left it until yesterday now its hitting around 45k ppd.

Checked on my client tonight, was already crunching a Core 17. Currently sitting at about 71k PPD.

Well I didn't follow my own advice lol. :lol:

Got a single Sapphire 7950 running core ZETA on WU 8900, pulling just under 100K PPD Nice PPD for $289.....

These are rumored to be going advanced pretty soon, will just have to see how long "pretty soon" is to Stanford:lol:
