AMD Turion 64 - First Look!

Alright guys I have a bit of a treat for you tonight Got ahold of some pix and screenshots of one of the new Turion 64 chips, let's take a closer look!

AMD Turion 64 2800+ - 1.6 GHz - 1M L2 - Core 90nm Rev 'E' - TDP 25W Socket754

Here's the Turion 2800+ running at the stock 1600mhz.... Not too bad for 1.6ghz!

And here's the same chip overclocked to 2ghz, notice the 9 second super pi score drop between that 400mhz overclock, pretty impressive.

One info about this CPU, AMD dont want fot this cpu to go on desktop s754, thats why no one does not want to make bios so mainboards can support this cpu. but i recived top secret informations that peoples collection donations for turion which will be given to Oskar Wu and he will make BIOS for DFI lanparty nf3 so that can support turion

I think once the Turion hits mainstream that a lot of programmers will be compelled to write compatible BIOS's for it's architecture.

Trust me when I tell you it won't stick to notebook computers for long at all
