AMD slides leak showcasing Ryzen Pro APUs, upgraded Ryzen CPUs and Vega 20

Ooh, interesting stuff. So Ryzen is getting a 12nm refresh next year. I wonder what kind of benefits that will bring.

Not much. It's basically 14nm++ instead of 14nm+. I would bet AMD would focus on improving clock speeds first and foremost with this slightly better node process and then improving voltage level states(ie power states) so the CPU can have more active power states to give the user the best battery life while maintaining a higher level of performance longer in notebooks.
Just my guess. I'm sure they can improve infinity fabric as well but it's so new we have no idea what could be done other than latency

Hmmm, yeah, that makes sense. I think it's safe to buy a current Ryzen CPU with the knowledge that nothing dramatic is on the horizon.
