AMD Sempron 2600+ Voltage

Hey there.

I have a question about a friends sempron 2600+.

It has the T-bred B core.

When i used Everest to see the voltage it showed something around 1.65 V.

Is that the normal voltage for a Semp. Tbred ?

And something else is bothering me. The idle temp is around 48 °C. Normal or to hot ?

Thanks.

it is 1.6v so i think it's good altough temperetures are rather high. my friends gets about 35 degrees load with a ver cheap cooler

1.65V ... the temps are 85 C (for a lifetime around the warranted length) personally never go over 60 C

u can usually get away with a lower voltage as the sempron cores are quite late T-B cores which had a near perfected production system

Possibly because of the less cache they require less voltage. Go with the 1.6v man. It's not gonna hurt it. You can run AXP's up to ~1.8v on air, 2v on water, +2v on dice, ln2, or phase

and to answer this question the sempron you would have would be the old .13nm they run very hot but the new ones are .90nm and they are considerably cooler... and the temp is fine just aslong as it dosent peak 60 at the MAX :wavey:

the 90NM ones are based on the K8 Core .... and are 3100+ and above

the 130 NM ones are socket A ... the 1.6V requirement would be (as i said earler) due to these being the last produced cores where the production is near perfect and less voltage is required ....

1.65 will work no matter what .... 1.6 may depending on the core in ur sempy .. most mobos default to 1.65
