Intredasting. With that many cores it'll certainly be decent for video workloads, but I still have my doubts about gaming performance. It seems that their IPC is still way behind Intel. (Their slides promised 40% increaseover Bulldozer iirc)
With similar IPC to Haswell the rumoured clocks do not hint of a great gaming performer. Having more than 4 cores doesn't matter the tiniest bit, really.
With this auto-overclockability, it makes me wonder what they're doing for thermal paste under the IHS with this thing. I also wonder if (or how badly) this would over-volt the CPU. Unless there's some magic there, leaving the voltage on "auto" is not something that would sit well with me.
