AMD Ryzen 7000 series Zen 4 CPUs listed at Canadian Retailer

I do hope those prices are not true. They'd be giving Intel too high of a chance to easily beat them in a few months time if they do.

How come? What does Intel have to go up against the R9 7950X? These prices look to be the same as (inflation adjusted) the original pricing of the 5000 Series.

not impressed

If they're going to bump up the price of the top two they better be adding pcie lanes or something to justify it.

As a Canadian this looks normal. We have to pay customs, environmental fees on electronics, and other BS stuff our moronic government comes up with.

This is no surprise whatsoever.....I can only imagine how much the boards are going to cost. :o
Looks like it is PC-Canada that listed these prices.

Well after a bit of digging it seems they are releasing it on the day Intel announce RL. Trying to steal thunder and get high launch prices IMO.

As soon as Intel release RL they will have to drop prices, so an initial gouge is nothing out of the ordinary.

Only E cores. And only the 13900K. Everything else is the same as Alder Lake with a bit more cache in some cases and slightly higher clocks.

Raptor Lake is a nothing.

That's not technically true. The 13600K and 13700K both have 4 additional E cores, which means the 13600K could likely beat the 7600X in multithreaded workloads. Then when you factor in the frequency boost, the IPC boost, and the cache boost, Raptor Lake is very much something.
